My roots go back to Rockford, IL, graduating from Rockford West High School in
1956 and later enlisting in the US Army Reserve. Graduation from Wheaton
College, Wheaton, IL took place in 1961 after which I completed the M. Div.
requirements at
Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Wenham, MA, class of 1964.
After being involved in church planting with the Evangelical Free Church of
America for several years in the D.C., Princeton, NJ, and Chicago, IL, areas, I
served thirteen years as a missionary church planter in Venezuela both in
Caracas and Maracay - returning to pastor the Evangelical Free Church of
Bloomington/Normal in IL for seven years.
After retiring from that position I was involved in counseling with Hispanic
clients in the Bloomington/Normal area. Following counseling I was employed by State Farm
Insurance in the area of customer service until January 2007.
God has blessed me with a wonderful wife, Donna,(also Wheaton College class of
1961), who is pictured with me on
Jerusalem's Temple Mount( Click

grandchildren -- a
precious heritage from
the Lord.

I have always had an interest in writing, and I hope some of what I am sharing
with you on my website will be of help to you. Whatever good may be
accomplished through your reading of these writings is entirely because of
Jesus Christ. "It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has
become for us wisdom from God - that is, our righteousness, holiness, and
redemption. Therefore, as it is written: 'Let him who boasts boast in the
Lord.'"
(I Corinthians 1:30-31)
"In essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, in all things charity"
Peter Meiderlin (Petrus Meuderlinus or Rupertus Meldenius), 1582-1651
